Scrapbooking = Paper Arts?

Um, who would have ever thought that Scrapbooking would make its way into the paper arts scene. I have a love of art, but I am also deathly afraid of my talent/skills and so don't do much of it lately. Partly because I work my arse off, and the other is because I just have a hard time finding room to create... this is no excuse and shall be changing...

But I have to admit that I have shunned the whole Scrapbooking craze because it was way WAY too homey for me, I mean come on, you have to admit the first of the first were questionable and cutesy and those who know me know that I am all about the letting it all hang out and def not cutesy.

So I have to say that right now I am loving the Scrapbooking scene move into a much more artsy manor. It is as though there were people out and about to break the status quo, and to those who love to rock ART, I salute you.

I salute your genuiness, I salute your ability to NOT be afraid and take creativity by the raynes and take charge, I salute you for being proud of who you are and what you do and bringing Scrapbooking out of the "Sears and Roebuck" catalog of the 80's and into the art scene of the new century and beyond.

Ok, so someone hand me a bucket, I think I've gone too far...

But seriously, you girls ROCK IT!!

BTW, I have to say that I am kinda hurt that the North Mid-West area seems to be the only ones who ever get the girlies, maybe Donna and Ali will start a to bring more people in the industry down to sunny Florida! We are the Tourist Capital of the World ya know... yea right!

Ciao!
