Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 11:00a.m. to Dusk at Taylor Park–Rockledge 1292 South Florida Avenue in Rockledge, Florida.
If you came for the Taylor Park Chili last year, you know that it was the perfect complement to the music, art, and other foods at the Musical Medley and Art Festival in Taylor Park. The Friends of Taylor Park invite you to another great time filled with wonderful music, art, and foods, including the chili, on Sunday, November 20, 2005, from 11 a.m. to dusk.
This year, the Brevard Museum Guild has teamed up with the Friends of Taylor Park to bring you even more entertainment. The museum guild will bring re-enactors of our local history-in-character and authentically costumed. As a historic setting, Taylor Park is the perfect place to connect with and celebrate our rich heritage along with the outstanding talents of present day artists and artisans. Once again, student artwork from Rockledge schools will be featured in a special display, thereby honoring our future as well.
This year’s musical program features members of the Musical Kottage Review, a song writing/performing group led by Grammy Award Nominee Lathan Hudson of Titusville. Lathan has written hits for stars such as B.J. Thomas, Wayne Newton, Mel Tillis, Barbara Streisand, and many others, including the Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmy Lou Harris Trio. Rockledge’s own Sue Perry, Community Outreach Organizer, officer of the museum guild and Music Committee Chair for this event, has arranged for the group’s performance.
Thanks to the City of Rockledge, Brevard County Parks & Recreation, Taylor Park is now equipped with permanent restroom facilities. The Friends of Taylor Park and the Brevard Museum Guild are both not-for-profit organizations with missions of service to the community and a relationship that is rooted in Grace & Albert Taylor’s legacy of generosity to us all.
